NoHo Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine with Dr Heidi Lovie

As a private practitioner of Acupuncture and Asian Medicine, Dr Lovie primarily focuses on auto-immune disorders with a special interest in Hashimoto's. However, she regularly works with all aspects of women's health (menstrual disorders, conception difficulty, pregnancy, post-partum maternal care, breast care), pain management, HIV management, cancer care, and "last resort" cases where everything else has been tried.

While working on her doctorate, Dr Lovie developed a passion for functional and integrative medicine.

She firmly believes that the future of Chinese medicine involves collaboration, transparency, and modern clinical knowledge. She regularly views modern blood work (i.e. upgraded thyroid panels, MTHFR testing, etc) through the scope of classical Chinese medicine to help patients set obtainable health goals towards greater healing.

When not with patients, Dr Lovie is instructing future healers in her role as a clinic supervisor at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine where she also teaches a course in gynecology and women's health. She has extensive training in Master Tung's Acupuncture system with several teachers in this family lineage and regularly employs his methods in patient care.
